GRAMEEN GREEN CHILDREN EYE HOSPITAL
The Grameen Green Children Eye Hospital was opened in 2008 with funding for the first hospital donated by the bank The Green Children. Their goal is to provide thousands of cataract operations so that people can regain their sight.
They also perform basic eyecare health for the general population and operate on a sliding scale. With this system they are able to fully cover their costs. Since 2008, they have opened 3 hospitals with 3 more to be built by 2014.
